				<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&lt;b&gt;JUST A FEW UPCOMING EVENTS THIS SUMMER...&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Space painting in the beautiful outdoors with Andi Naab. June will bring the summer light and warmth and Andi will lead us in this fun meeting ... more later.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Funky junky art - Bonnie Grebner will lead us in making fun sculptures out of stuff we usually toss out. Start saving interesting recylable items no larger than 2 x 2 x 2.&amp;#160; Some examples are electrical caps, water bottle caps, pen parts, washers, nuts, springs, corks, pop tabs, golf tees, old Christmas lights.....&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Bonnie says, "You are a creative group - I'm interested in what you will come up with!"&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Bring a hot glue gun to the meeting if you can; Bonnie will bring small blocks of wood to use as the base.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Wednesday, August 22 - Watercolors with Bonnie Jones - painting on rice paper ($65/member)&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Thursday, August 23-Saturday, August 25 - Watercolors with Tom Jones - workshop details will be annonced later, but mark your calendars now!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&lt;b&gt;DECORATIVE GOURDS&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Wednesday, March 28 at 7 pm - LOCATION HAS CHANGED FOR THIS MONTH&lt;/font&gt; (see directions below)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Rhonda LeMars-James will lead the group in creating beautiful multi-colored gourd eggs for display, using transtint dyes. She will provide all supplies so come dressed for hands-on art in this creative medium. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;This month's meeting will be held at Our Savior Presbyterian Church, rural LeClaire, 22530 240th Avenue, LeClaire.&amp;#160; It's very easy to find and just a few minutes from I-74 or I-80.&amp;#160; &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Go north on I-74 and take I-80 exit east.&amp;#160; (If you are coming from Illinois, go west on I-80).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Take Middle Road exit #301 north.&amp;#160; (If you are coming from Bettendorf, just stay on Middle Road north east through Bettendorf until it ends)&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;1/2 mile north of the interstate, Middle Road turns sharply east (right) and becomes Indiana Avenue.&amp;#160; Go east on Indiana Ave for one mile to stop sign.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Turn north (left) onto county road Z30 (240th Avenue).&amp;#160; Go 1.5 miles to 4-way stop at Argo.&amp;#160; Keep straight on 240th Ave for 1.2 mile and the church is on the left.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Christ Church in Moline has Lenten services this month - April's meeting will return to the Moline church!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<title>Workshop: Pastel landscapes with David Garrison</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;David Garrison and his wife Cecile Houel are internationally known artists currently residing in both Burlington, Iowa and France.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Both have gained recognition in their work in France and the United States.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;David's pastel landscape workshop is scheduled for Sunday, April 22, 2012. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;David will be teaching his method of capturing light in pastel landscape painting.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Workshop fee is $57.00 per day for members and $60.00 for non-members.&lt;/font&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;There is a 20.00 deposit fee to sign up.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Class will run from 9:30 am&amp;#160; to approximately 4:30 p.m. (with an hour lunch break)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Classes will be held in the Deere-Wiman carriage house (817 - 11th Ave, Moline, IL) and parking isavailable on the street adjacent. 				<description>&lt;p&gt;The Left Bank Art League's entry in the 2011 Festival of Trees was a winner!&amp;#160; Taking first place in the Nature category for tree entries, this beautiful tree was inspired by the wonder of nature.&amp;#160; Members painted original images of various wildlife and created original nature-inspired decor - it was truly an inspired look and sponsored by Heartland "Criations" Alpacas.&amp;#160; The tree was topped by a wonderful alpaca-covered stuffed eagle.&amp;#160; Many thanks to our sponsor and hope you had the opportunity to see this entry.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
