Left Bank Art League

Hello: 

When I think of myself the first thing that comes to mind is my animals.  I am on a farm and have two horses, Nik and JOJO,  12 or more chickens at any given time.  One house dog, and several cows, which are more my husbands than my responsibility.   

The proud mother of two sons, 26, and 28 as of today and fortunate to have one grandson, age two.

Concerning art,  I have doodled and played with all kinds of mediams since I was able to first put something on paper.    The adult world of work took over, and family time was enveloping me.    At age 30, my mother in law started me in classes with her using oil paints and I was off and running again.   Now my favorite mediam is color pencil.  After two, one week clinics, I have found many more ways to use them to my advantage, and just love playing with them.   In the process some beautiful pictures are adorning my walls.   I was lucky enough to enter into a contest and receive first place with one.   As many know that just adds fuel to your fire.  It did mine.   I am taking more classes for basic art.  I appreciate the left banks  and the  figge art museum, being close  and providing the classes .  

Enough about me.  I would appreciate hearing from any one who likes talking art.  Hope to meet several new people in the coming years.
